South Cape Owners Club was designed by legendary architect Kyle Phillips and opened for play in 2013.
Kyle Phillips is known for his work around the world inlcuding Kingsbarns, Yas Links, Cal Club, Bernadus and Dundonald.
The owner of South Cape is fashion industry guru Jae Bong Chung.
Mr Chung and his wife have used their artistic flair to complement the amazing golf course with perhaps the most stylish clubhouse in world golf.

The restaurant with local cuisine, ultra modern 5 star accommodation, and music room are similarly stylish.
Remarkably, the course has no private memberships- it is public access (and one of the best in the world).

South Cape is located on the end of a peninsula and has been designed to offer ocean views from every hole.
The course is not overly long, which makes sense given the topography.
The elevation changes are challenge enough!
Granite outcrops frame many of the holes and add to the drama.
Players are constantly asked to take on risks or play safe.
It is hard to think of a fairer course in this regard.
And there are some 'all world holes'
Coastal holes 6, 14 & 16 demand water carries to spectacular greens largely surrounded by the sea.
The club playfully promotes hole 16 as 'the world's greatest hole'.
They could be right!
Notable Holes include:
- hole 1, a brilliant opening hole- spectacular, but a relatively gentle par.

- hole 2, a short par four with the approach challenged by a water carry over a rocky creek

- hole 6, a longer par three along the coastline. With ocean left and a long carry over the coastal vegetation it is a daunting hole.

- hole 8, an attractive and challenging par four with a long carry to reach the fairway, followed by a second carry over a small gorge on the approach to the green

- hole 13, another dramatic shorter par 4 along the coast to an elevated green with a gorgeous ocean backdrop

- hole 14, a short downhill par 3 to a green perched on the ocean cliffs. It is one of the great holes in world golf!

- hole 16, simply one of the most picturesque and challenging par 3's in world golf! The club playfully calls it "the best golf hole in the world.."

South Cape Owners Club is simply one of the best golf courses on the planet.
With hole after hole right on the spectacular coastline, it may be the most attractive course anywhere.
But it is more than that- the course is constantly challenging without being tricked up.
Good play is rewarded.
Strategic play off the appropriate tee will be reflected in your score.
