Hello wonderful Beanie People!

Well done on another sterling performance.

By all pitching in together and toiling away on that fantastic golf course we have raised much needed funds for Professor Robin Anderson’s vital breast cancer research.

In a period where it has been difficult to access sponsors or donors we have still managed to raise $19,110 (this brings us close to $200,000 over the years).

That’s a result we can all be proud of, given the circumstances

Thank you’s

I want to thank everyone for signing up and attending- especially those who came from afar- Morgan & Bridget from NSW, Susan from Albury, Rob & Steve from Warrnambool…

I want to thank those who contributed auction items- Chris Bremner supplied the Nutri bullets and organised a team of 4, Steve Timms supplied some nice spirits, our auctioneer Brad who was briefed by Robin Anderson on the need for Antibodies at $300 a pop and promptly offered to buy both pre auction.

Geoff & Rita offered their Apartment at 13th Beach, and others organised rounds of golf at their clubs - Shane & Jo at Gisborne, Donna & Graham at Eastern, Andy Poppins at Long Island & Riversdale & Brad at Queenscliff. And thank you to Victoria GC, Lonsdale Links and Kauri Cliffs for their generous donations too.

We also need to thank the Peter & Susan Yates Foundation for their generous donation of a $1000.

Much appreciated!

And don’t forget you all donated $100 to the cause in your entry fee and will receive a tax receipt from ONJ CRI in the next few weeks.

A really big thanks to Brad Teal for stepping in as auctioneer. It was nice to see a pro in full swing, and his endeavours made a big impact. Great work Brad!

And finally I thought the team at Victoria Golf Club were magnificent. We deal with golf clubs all over the world, and it doesn’t get much better than what we experienced at Victoria on Friday.

Peter Stackpole and his team were ultra professional and a joy to work with.

Thank you Victoria!

The Course

Victoria GC- hole 15 is a birdie hole!Victoria GC- hole 15 is a birdie hole!

For as long as I can remember Victoria GC has been regarded amongst the top 100 courses in the world, but in recent years new courses all over the globe have upped the ante.

The changes undertaken by Victoria have significantly upgraded all of the playing surfaces and made some subtle changes to the green complexes and a couple of holes.

I have always loved the course, but I think it has gone up a notch with these changes and is again definitely a World Top 100 course.

It really is a joy to play, and you can see how it can be toughened up for championship golf. Those beautiful greens will be firm and slick for The Aussie Open next year!

Thank you to all those who made the effort to dress as a pair.

There were some outstanding efforts. I particularly liked Ian & Bryan's effort as The Fanatics, but in the end Andrew & David’s Blues Brothers had to take the chocolates…. a round of golf at Eastern for 4.

I can’t help smiling when I see the short video they produced: check it out!

Fantastic effort.

Love it
