Hua Hin is a beach resort approximately 200kms south west of Bangkok on the Malay Peninsula in Thailand.
In 1921 the Railway Hotel was built close to the beach at Hua Hin, and when the southern railway subsequently connected to Bangkok, Hua Hin became the first and foremost beach resort in the country. The Royal family built a summer palace and have continued to have a presence in Hua Hin adding to its credability.
These days Hua Hin is popular for a wide range of holiday activities including a variety of water sports, trekking, elephant camps, spas, martial arts, cooking courses, cycling and GOLF!
