Sacom- the hole signs have character!
Located just 15 km from central Dalat, and 21 km from the airport, Sacom Tuyen Lam Golf Club & Resort is part of a large development that includes 2 hotels, 400 villas and a premiere golf course.
Designed by Canadian company Ekistics (with shaper Ronald Leck) the club opened 9 holes in 2013, and offered a complete 18 hole experience from late in 2014.
The course is routed through two valleys, and the setting is very European. The whole property is a world unto itself surrounded by pine tree covered mountains, and overlooked by the elegance of the clubhouse and the hotel.

My first impressions were that the course was very tight with the manicured fairways and greens being framed by newly planted pine trees dividing holes. When these trees mature they will demand the golfers attention!
The playing surfaces are immaculate with the cooler Dalat climate allowing bent grass greens, and bermuda grass fairways.
Notable holes include:
- the short par 4 dogleg third hole, where the green is really tucked in it's own dell. You need to get the correct line and length with the tee shot to have a direct approach to the green

- the downhill par 3 fourth hole- pick the right club and don't go left!

- the split fairway par 4 eighth hole asks a question of every golfer- how will you respond?
The Sacom Tuyen Lam GC is good course in a lovely part of the world, and is a nice complement to the other wonderful courses in the area- Dalat Palace, and The Dalat at 1200 CC.
You can stay on site, or in Dalat itself.
Add in some pretty interesting sightseeing opportunities, and it sounds like a great place to plan a golf holiday!
