Constance Belle Mare Plage- Legends Course, hole 5
History
Designed by South African champion golfer Hugh Baiocchi, the Legends course opened for play in 1994.
In 2016 Rodney Wright, who designed the sister course- the Links Course at Constance Belle Mare Plage- was commissioned to renovate the course.
He made changes to holes 1, 2, 4, 9 & 18.
Championships
The Legends course has a history of hosting tournaments, and will host the MCB Tour Championship in late 2023

We really enjoyed our stay at the Constance Belle Mare Plage hotel on the beach in Mauritius.
It is just a wonderful place to wind down..
With rooms looking directly onto the protected beach, a selection of quality restaurants, and warm, blue sky weather, it was hard to think of a better place to be..

After a slow sleepy morning, we played the Legends Golf Course next door to our hotel in the afternoon.
The course exceeded our expectations.
It was tight and relatively penal, but endlessly interesting.
You just never knew where the next hole would go, and what was around the corner.
The site is heavily treed and fairways are narrow- and there is water everywhere.
In fact since the renovations by Rodney Wright in 2016, water hazards feature on every hole on the course!
It is not a long course, measuring 6018 metres off the back tees.
It is a course that rewards strategy and accuracy.
And it is certainly a course where you will benefit from repeat plays
Notable holes include:
hole 2, a mid length par 4 with water in play off the tee and down the right side of the hole

- hole 4, a par 5 with water on both sides of the fairway
- hole 9, a shorter par four that requires an accurate approach with water and bunkers threatening..

- hole 11, a nice little par 3 with an all water carry tee shot
- hole 12, a dramatic dogleg par 4 with trees and water on the inside of the corner and a water carry for the approach
- hole 17, an all world par 3 surrounded by water
