Wales is home to roughly 200 golf courses including some wonderful seaside links courses reminscent of Irish courses.
For a small country, Wales packs a lot in!
It's a celtic country, west of England, and is about 250kms long and 90 kms wide...
There is a lot to see : majestic castles, 3 national parks with hiking trails, 10 great little steam trains, and lots of colourful market towns.
Despite it's size, Wales has 641 castles- and these castles are the most popular attraction in Britain with foreign visitors ( according to a recent VisitBritain report)
And Wales has culture! The Impressionist Collection at The National Museum of Art in Cardiff is the largest outside Paris, and includes paintings by Renoir, Van Gogh, Manet and Monet
And is you like walking Wales is one of the few countries in the world where you can walk the entire 1400km rugged coastline!
In 2012 Lonely Planet's Best in Travel publication rated Coastal Wales as the greatest region on earth to visit!!
And then there is the golf..
Celtic Manor hosted the Ryder Cup in 2010, but for mine any golfing trip to Wales should concentrate on those unique links courses on the coast. Some are known around the world, some are just outrageously fun and funky.
