Who are the people behind The Travelling Golfer?
Peter has over 30 years of experience in organising golf events and group trips all over the world.
Peter is an international golf course rater for Golf Digest Magazine USA , and along with his wife Heather, has played nearly all the top courses in the world in their travel adventures over the last 20 plus years.
Peter is always increasing his knowledge of golf and golf travel: visiting new destinations each year, researching golf courses, attending conferences and networking with experts in the golfing industry throughout the world.
He liases with everyone: from the world's best golf course architects through to the golfing enthusiast at the local club.
He is a passionate golf course rater and reviewer and is responsible for all the course reports on the The Travelling Golfer website.
There probably isn't a golf courses in the world he doesn't know something about!
In a former life Peter was an owner and Director of Yarra Group, a public accountant and financial advising group of companies.
A keen golfer, Peter won the inaugural Heritage Golf Club Championships and has played off a single figure handicap since taking the game up in his mid 30's.
Peter was the inaugural Chairman and Financial Director of Barnbougle Dunes Golf Links in Tasmania which is rated Australia's Number 1 public access course.
A pennant golfer for many years, a former Club Captain, and international golf course rater - Heather brings a wealth of golfing experience to The Travelling Golfer.
Heather is also a very competitive golfer, often playing off a single figure handicap.
She is adept at running golfing events, succeesfully running our Charity Tournament "The Beanie" for over 8 years.
Heather helps with the design of our trips, making sure we get the extra special details right.
She has played nearly all the top courses in the world and travels extensively every year, either hosting trips or researching for future trips.
Otherwise known as Heather Spielberg, Heather is renowned for her movie trailers and short movies capturing the memories of our fabulous golfing extravaganzas.

After spending 12 years employed as a CPA specialising in Self Managed Superannuation Funds, Rory joined The Travelling Golfer in April 2016.
His accounting, administration and technology skills made an immediate impact.
An experienced traveller and a passionate golfer, Rory plays off a plus 1 handicap.
He is involved at all levels of the business- from researching and designing trips, to leading groups to the special golfing destinations.
PGA Professional and Touring Pro
Tim had been a touring professional for most of his adult life, and has held tour cards in Canada and Australia.
He won the 2008 NSW PGA and played in the 2009 British Open at Turnberry.
However injury has plagued his career and his tournament play has been somewhat restricted.
Tim is now a full time teaching professional working at Growling Frog GC, and Plenty Valley Driving Range, and is head coach at Rosanna GC.
A keen golfer and experienced traveller with a practical approach, Ian is the ideal trip organiser and leader- combining his obvious organisational skills, and analytical approach with a laid back, easy to approach personality.
Ian is also club captain at The Heritage G & CC in Melbourne
With nearly 25 years in the industry, Donna is a travel consultant with the knowledge and experience to handle all enquiries with aplomb.
Donna handles all our group flights and travel arrangements, and is equally adept at preparing an itinerary for that special holiday.
Apart from golf trips, Donna can assist with general travel itineraries, cruises, train trips, tickets to world and sporting events.
Sue Semmens is an experienced world traveller with a passion for golf, swimming and other active pursuits
As a low single figure golfer who has had many years of pennant and competition golf, Sue knows the game inside out, and enjoys taking good people to the special golfing and holiday destinations in the world.
Sue leads womens groups, and joins with husband Roger to host couples groups
Andrew was inaugural Club Captain of the Heritage Golf and Country Club, and has represented several clubs in pennant competition. He brings years of experience in golf from both a playing and administration points of view.
He has been organising and leading golf tours for more than 20 years in Australia and overseas and is passionate about great golf courses, good dining and good fellowship!
Stephen is the face of The Travelling Golfer in New Zealand, and works with us to lead and promote outbound trips around the world, run fantastic amateur tournaments, and is the man on the ground in Queenstown managing our sister company- Peak Golf Queenstown ( www.peakgolfqueenstown.co.nz )
