1. Pronghorn Resort's Nicklaus course is one of the highlights of any golfing trip to Central oregon.
The course is set in the second biggest Juniper forest in the world, and the combination of high desert terrain including black lava and sagebrush with a beatifully manicured course is just stunning
2. Pronghorn Resort Fazio course has a wonderfully rugged yet highly manicured look.
It is the members course at Pronghorn, but travelling golfers who stay at Pronghorn may on occassions gain access by prior arrangement.
The Fazio course is our favourite in Central Oregon.
3.Tetherow Golf Club offers real links golf with wall to wall fescue providing a fast and firm golfing experience.
You will be hard pressed to find level ground on either fairways or greens, so the trick is to use the slopes to your advantage.
It's great fun!
4. Crosswater at Sunriver Resort is a championship course you won't easily forget
With snow capped mountains as a backdrop, the course plays over, alongside and around the river on the majority of holes
It is a picturesque and challenging course.
5. Aspen Lakes GC is an ideal introduction to golf in Central Oregon.
It's a pretty course without being too demanding- set in a compelling high desert landscape.
And the red sand bunkers look fantastic!
6. Bandon Dunes is the original course at the resort designed by Scot David Maclay Kidd.
It's a unique link course on the gorgeous Oregon coast
7. Pacific Dunes, designed by Tom Doak is generally regarded as one of the best 20 courses in the world, and is a Travelling Golfer favourite
8. Bandon Trails, designed by Coore Crenshaw is the only course at Bandon to leave the immediate coastal dunes.
It seamlessly combines true links holes in the sand by the sea with more undulating inland holes
9. Old MacDonald was designed by Tom Doak & Jim Urbina to pay homage to the links template style of C.B.MacDonald, who became known as 'the father of American golf' when golf was in it's infancy in the USA.
If you know your golf you might be able to recognise 'the Redan', or 'the Road hole', or 'Eden'..
