The National Golf Club is undoubtably one of the outstanding golfing facilties in the southern hemisphere and has four wonderful links style courses to choose from.
The Old Course at The National is one of our very favourite courses anywhere and is a Travelling Golfer "must play!" . Our full course report for The Old Course can viewed here.
The Old Course was designed by Robert Trent Jones Jnr, and is nothing, if not dramatic!
Set in a huge elevated dunescape with ocean views, The Old Course is famous for large, undulating greens, and impressive bunkering...
The seventh hole is a par 3 with an elevated peninsula green and glorious coastal views.
Play is fully exposed to any winds, so you must select the right club and commit to the shot.
It's a fantastic golf hole!
