Welcome to Fantastic Golf Holes & where to find them!

Join us as we journey to Seaton Carew, on England's north east coast.

Seaton Carew is a revered links course.

It is perhaps more memorable becasue of it's stark industrial landscape.

Legendary designer Dr Alister MacKenzie left his imprint on Seaton Carew with an extensive redesign in the 1920's.

However the club's most famous hole, the par 3 third hole named 'Doctor' was named after the club founder Dr Duncan McCuaig.

'Doctor' is a challenging medium length par 3, surrounded by 8 deep pot bunkers.

Anything offline will tend to feed off into those surrounding bunkers.

However a good tee shot into the centre of the green will always leave a good chance of a birdie.

The key is to not be drawn into those tight flag positions, where perilous bunkers await.

The pro tip is: "Ignore the flag, go for the middle of the green!'

It's a fantastic golf hole!
