Big Cedar Lodge was conceived and built by conservationalist Johnny Morris, the founder of Bass Pro Shops.
He conceived Big Cedar Lodge as a destination for active people to get together to enjoy the striking wilderness that is the Missouri Ozark Mountains.

Mountain Top is a 13 hole par 3 course designed by Gary Player.
The walking only course is routed through spectacular mountain top terrain.
The course and the views are drop dead gorgeous!
And they are serious golf holes!

- hole 1, a classy uphill starter measuring 105 yards from the back tees
- hole 3, a graceful well bunkered shorter par 3 with glorious panoramic views
