The London Heathlands
The Heathland courses of London are one of the great golfing destinations in the world.
They rate with Melbourne's Sandbelt and New York's Long Island for the quality and number of courses in close proximity.
Heathlands courses are sited in gently rolling sandy terrain that inevitably drains well.
Like links courses, Heathland courses boast firm playing surfaces perfect for golf.
However unlike Links courses, Heathland courses are mostly inland and are routed through forests of Scotch Fir and Pine trees, often with heather and gorse lining the fairways.
Located near Windsor, less than an hour from Heathrow airport, the London Heathlands is an easy journey from all parts of the world.
Play golf at Sunningdale Old (rated no 28 in the world by Top 100 golf), Sunningdale New (rated 43), Swinley Forest (rated 62), The Berkshire Red, The Berkshire Blue & St Georges Hill GC (rated 68).
Additional golf can be added to tailor a trip to suit your group
Add more golf: The Berkshire Blue, Walton Heath, Woking, New Zealand, West Sussex..
Time your trip to coincide with sporting events like Wimbledon, Test Cricket or The Open Championship
England's Golf Coast - Liverpool
England’s Golf Coast is a coastal area centred around Liverpool and is home to some of the finest golf courses in Britain. With no less than 8 courses in the ‘Top 100 Courses of the UK & Ireland’ and 11 listed in the 'Top 100 Courses in England', the concentration of championship golf available within England’s Golf Coast is unparalleled. This area of the English coast is home to the most impressive links courses in the world, courses such as Royal Birkdale, Royal Lytham & St Annes and Royal Liverpool, which have hosted the Open Championship 34 times between them. Whilst these courses are the 'jewel in the crown' there are other great courses such as Formby, Hesketh, Hillside Southport, West Lancashire and Wallasey - all have a rich history and ranked in the Top 100 in Great Britain.
There is also a wide choice of accommodation - stay in Liverpool (home of the Beatles), or the trendy coastal resort of Southport, or the charming coastal town of Lytham.
East Coast
The East Coast is the 'road less travelled' for golf in England. It is a fascinating place to visit with so many ancient towns and some seriously good golf.
It's an area all travelling golfers should aspire to visit. Top courses include: Woodhall Spa, Royal West Norfolk, Seaton Carew, Alwoodley, Moortown, Hunstanton and Royal Worlington.
