The United States of America is a 'golf' superpower.
The USA hosts some of the most famous golfing events in the world - The Masters, PGA Championship, US Open, Players Championship at TPC Sawgrass, The Memorial Tournament, Fed Ex Cup Tour Championship and more ...
Although golf evolved in Scotland the game was embraced by the Americans to the extent that approximately 43% of all golf courses in the world call the USA home.
Not surprisingly, any list of the best courses in the world is dominated by the beautifully groomed parkland courses in the USA (Pinehurst, Bethpage, Merion, San Francisco, Augusta) and the newer links courses designed by the world's best modern day architects - Doak, Coore/Crenshaw, Hanse.
Every golfer wants to experience the 'once in a lifetime' trip to Augusta to see The Masters, or to play Pebble Beach or Pinehurst. They also seek out the modern links courses that are hidden in relatively remote destantions like Bandon Dunes Oregon, Streamsong Florida and Sand Valley Wisconsin. Plus there are the desert courses, modern resort courses, ocean courses, mountain courses, short courses ... there is every course imaginable.
The USA has so much to see and experience apart from golf - amazing National Parks, vibrant cities, sporting events, entertainment - there is something for everyone. The Travelling Golfer knows the US and we can make a tour for your group that ticks all your boxes.
The USA is so big (where golf is concerned) we have split it up into the East Coast, West Coast, Central and Hawaii.
West Coast
The West Coast of the USA has some of the world's greatest golf courses - there are desert courses, courses perched on dramatic ocean cliffs, courses in rolling sand dunes and courses in beautiful parkland. The crown in the jewel is Cypress Point Club, an ultra private coastal masterpiece often rated one in the world. It's neighbour on the Monterey Peninsula is the famous Pebble Beach - a public course that is a joy to play. The Monterey Peninsula is just south of San Francisco and is home to many other great courses - a golf tour to the Monterey Peninsula is a must.
Another must play is Bandon Dunes Resort, located on the coast in Oregon. Bandon Dunes has five 18 hole courses and two par 3 courses, all the courses are world best and designed by top architects. It is widely considered to be the 'Best Golf Resort in the World".
Then there are the desert courses of Palm Springs and Las Vegas. Wolf Creek outside Las Vegas is the craziest desert course imaginable - an absolute hoot to play. The famous PGA West, La Quinta and Indian Wells Courses in Palm Beach will keep you thoroughly entertained.

Not only is there great golf on the West Coast, there is great sightseeing too - Yosemite, Grand Canyon, Las Vegas, San Fran, Big Sur, Disneyland ....
Monterey Peninsula Golf Tour
Stay at Pebble Beach Resort or at The Inn at Spanish Bay and play all the great courses in the nearby area - Pebble Beach, Spanish Bay, Spyglass Hill, Pasatiempo, Poppy Hills, The Hay .... Wow.
Bandon Dunes Resort
This Golf Resort overlooks the Pacific Ocean in Oregaon. It has five links style courses, two par 3 courses, giant putting greens, practice centre, coaches, caddies, numerous accommodation options, a variety of restaurants, massage centre - everything for the perfect golf trip. The hardest part is deciding how long to stay. We suggest at least 4-nights, maybe longer if you want to enjoy absolute everything the Resort offers. This is golf as it was meant to be.
