Course Review
Corrie GC was established in 1892 and is located in a quiet valley on the Isle of Arran.
It is a nine hole course with an honesty box, and real character.
Corrie is a beautiful place to play golf, with impressive mountain backdrops and views over The Firth of Clyde.
The 9 hole, par 31 course only measures 1915 yards from the back markers, but the undulations make it play considerably longer.
The course is tight in places! There are trees to hit over and around, and heather lining the fairways - golfers will need to be accurate.
At times it is hard to know which green you are headed for, and some fairways cross over each other.
The greens are true, and often square!
It’s a quirky course, but great fun.
Replaying the 9-hole course should be mandatory as golfer’s will then know the lines of play.
You won't accidentally stumble over Corrie GC on your Scottish travels, unless you happening to be visiting the Isle of Arran. Adventurous golfers often visit the Isle of Arran to play Shiskine Golf & Tennis Club, a course which has an almost cult like following. So if you ever get to Shiskine, make sure you take the opportunity to play Corrie as well.
You won't regret it.
