PuntaCana Resort- La Cana Course- Hacienda Nine, hole 5
The La Cana course was designed by P. B. Dye (Paul Burke Dye) and opened 18 holes in 2001.
P. B. Dye was Pete Dye's youngest son.
The two original nines at La Cana were Tortuga and Arrecife, with the Hacienda nine added later
La Cana has not looked back since with homes, hotels and more courses making it a very attractive destination for golfing holidays.
Nearby the Corales Course is world class, and more recently another new course by Nicklaus Design at Punta Espada is something special!

It is an ideal warm up for any golfing trip to the Dominican Republic.
The real deal in this part of the country are the Corales Course and Punta Espada- both of which are "must plays" and worthy of repeat play.
